About Us

Nurturing Musical Excellence in Central Pennsylvania.

The Central Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association (CPMTA) is a vibrant community of music teachers committed to excellence in teaching, performance, and lifelong learning. We offer opportunities for students and teachers alike to grow through recitals, festivals and competitions, professional workshops, and collaborative events.

CPMTA is an affiliate of both the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association (PMTA) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), a national organization founded in 1876 by Theodore Presser. With over 25,000 members, MTNA supports music teachers across the country through advocacy, resources, and programs that elevate the art of music education.

Whether you’re a teacher looking to connect with colleagues, or a parent seeking enriching opportunities for your student, we invite you to be part of our growing musical community.
